Reach Active

A youth-led, movement-based project connecting young people through sport, community, and consistent youth work.

Reach Active is a new initiative from Reach Rainhill C.I.C., funded by Sport England’s Movement Fund and made possible by National Lottery players. It aims to create safe, trusted spaces for young people in Rainhill through regular detached youth work and inclusive physical activities shaped by young people’s voices.

Delivered through weekly street-based sessions, Reach Active combines movement, informal sport, and relationship-building to support wellbeing, inclusion, and local belonging. It’s led by experienced youth workers and shaped by what local young people have told us they need: someone to talk to, something to do, and somewhere they feel seen.

Our sessions are designed to meet young people where they are, literally and emotionally; building trust and offering support through simple, consistent presence.

🟠 What Reach Active offers:
• Weekly detached youth work sessions across Rainhill
• Inclusive and informal sport-based activities like football, rounders, walking & more
• Healthy snacks, movement, and social connection
• A chance to build trusted relationships with youth workers
• Outreach in parks, streets and public spaces young people already use
• Led by qualified youth workers and supported by community partners
• Funded by Sport England’s Movement Fund (2025)
• Focused on fun, belonging, and youth voice

We’re proud to be building this project in collaboration with the local community and young people themselves. If you’re a parent, young person, or community ally interested in learning more, please get in touch!
